My name is Scot Buchanan Parker. This website is a collection of family history, photographs, and genealogy.

The photos and family history I have available are accesible from the "List of Ancestors" pull-down button above. By sharing this information, I hope others from this family tree will share them and enjoy them as much as I do. I would like to thank my Uncle, Dr. James Donaldson Parker, for his time and effort in gathering this information and doing the necessary research with www.ancestry.com to put together this family tree.

Over the past years I've had the pleasure of visiting Fayette, Iowa. I especially enjoy visiting locations where I can compare the past to the present. Charles Coleman Parker doctor's office and William Henry Klemme's lumberyard are two great examples.

Office of Dr. Charles Coleman Parker
Comparing the past to the present

Charles Coleman Parker's old doctor office is located at 225 S Main Street in Fayette. It was built between 1898-1900. In 2010 the building went under some major renovations and now is being used as a Northwestern Mutual office run by Sharon Orr. I was able to meet with her in 2010 and took pictures of the office and how it looks today. They did an excellent job in restoring the old office!

Read about how Sharon Orr was awarded the Loyal Legion of Abraham Lincoln Award for 2010.

Comparing the past to the present

William Henry Klemme's lumberyard is located at 1310 Main St. in Ridgeway, Iowa. I was able to visit there in 2013. Below are pictures of what it looked like then and how it looks now. As of this writing, it is Ridgeway Feed & Lumber.
