Claude Eugene Buchanan

Claude Eugene Buchanan was born on September 13, 1871, the only child of Thomas Joshua Buchanan and Josephine Bowie. He married Corinne Margaret Swift on September 5, 1900, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Claude was as a sales agent for Proctor and Gamble. After his retirement he continued to live in Atlanta. He was on the city council of Atlanta and was briefly Mayor Pro Tem in the late 1920's.

Claude died on March 30, 1954, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 82, and was buried there.

Claude Eugene Buchanan and Corinne Margaret Swift had four children:

  • Elizabeth Margaret Buchanan, 1903-1988
  • Eugenia Buchanan, 1905-1990
  • Corinne Buchanan, 1908-1967
  • Claude Eugene Buchanan, 1911-1934
