Robert Lee Fox was born on April 11, 1907, in Fayette, Iowa. He married Eleanor Bolles Parker on December 27, 1931, in his hometown.
Robert Lee Fox graduated from Upper Iowa University 1928. He received his M.A. 1930 and PhD 1934 at Columbia. He worked as a Professor of Chemistry at Robert College in Istanbul, Turkey 1934-1941. US Army Chemical Corps and Manhattan Project 1942-1946. He worked as a civilian with the Chemical Corps until his retirement in about 1970.
Robert Lee Fox died on September 22, 2002, in Towson, Maryland, at the age of 95.
